TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The intersection of Euclid and 2nd Street, the site of a triple fatal pedestrian crash last week , is getting some safety improvements.

The Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility confirmed the improvements, but said the changes have been in the works for years.

“The incident last week is a heartbreaking tragedy,” the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility said in a release. “(We) grieve with the community over the loss of three lives and extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones affected.”

TDOTM said that due to Thursday night’s accident, the Euclid and 2nd Street location has been prioritized. Work should begin this year and be completed by spring 2026.
