ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield cut the ribbon Monday on its new location inside the Deloitte Building at 4th and Market, moving 500 employees to the heart of downtown St. Louis.

The new office sits steps from the Gateway Arch and a block from Busch Stadium. Company officials said they chose the location as part of an effort to modernize office space and strengthen collaboration.

“I describe downtown as the heartbeat of a city because it reflects its energy and people and potential,” Stephanie Vojicic, the president of Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Missouri told a crowd of local business owners and officials at Monday’s ribbon cutting.
