LOST CREEK, W.Va. — A fatality has been confirmed in the I-79 tractor-trailer crash near Lost Creek Sunday.

West Virginia State Police have identified the victim as the driver of the rig as Ronald Porrin.

Trooper said Porrin was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident was reported at mile marker 110 on the southbound side of I-79 at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. The tanker truck traveled off the right side of the roadway and over an embankment.

Porrin was the lone occupant of the truck.

The investigation is ongoing.
