Maui firefighters are battling a brush fire near 4050 Honoapiilani Highway in Napili, above Kapalua Airport.

Maui Emergency Management Agency said the fire was reported at 12:35 a.m.

No evacuation orders are in place, but those who need extra time should begin preparations. Smoke impacts may also be present.

MEMA says it continues to monitor the situation and will provide additional information when available.
