RADNOR — The Academy of Notre Dame volleyball team finds itself exactly where it planned to be all along, chasing yet another championship.
The Irish checked off one goal this fall, clinching a share of the Inter-Ac League title with Germantown Academy and Springside Chestnut Hill Academy. It was Notre Dame’s 11th league crown since 2010 under coach Mike Sheridan and the latest stop on an era of dominance that’s become the standard on Sproul Road.
To get back to the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association final, Notre Dame had to go through one of its top rivals. The Irish outlasted Germantown Academy in five sets last Thursday to earn their spot in the championship match. ND was down 6-1 in the final set but stormed back to win.
