LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (WAFB) - A Livingston Parish man was locked up for alleged crimes against a young person, deputies said.

According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, David Cary, 19, is facing charges of indecent behavior with juveniles and computer aided solicitation of a minor.

Authorities said they started investigating Cary in September after getting a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding his alleged crimes.

The case originated in Lafayette, Indiana, which is where authorities said the juvenile victim was located.

According to LPSO, Cary was identified as the suspect after detectives obtained evidence. Cary was taken into custody in Florida and was transported to Livingston Parish to be locked up.
