Disney+ has secured a landmark multi-year content partnership with CJ ENM to bring South Korean streaming service Tving ’s premium content to Japan for the first time.

The deal positions Disney+ as a key SVOD partner for Tving in the critical Japanese market, with up to 60 of the Korean streamer’s top-performing originals and CJ ENM drama series set to launch on the platform. Content begins rolling out Nov. 5, featuring fan-favorite titles including “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God” and “Reply 1988.”

Leading the charge is “Dear X,” starring Kim Yoo-jung, Kim Young-dae and Kim Do-hoon, which will stream exclusively on Disney+ Japan starting Nov. 6 in a day-and-date release with its Korean debut.
