CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Residents near the Craven–Beaufort County line say they’re concerned as the search for Dominic Connelly enters its sixth day.
Connelly is wanted for allegedly killing his grandmother and stabbing a Craven County deputy last week.
Law enforcement from multiple local, state, and federal agencies has continued searching the area by ground and air. Deputies believe Connelly may be moving north, using fields and woods to avoid detection.
For resident Joyce Jenkins, the manhunt hit close to home after her family’s trail cameras captured images of the suspect.
“I just hope they go ahead and get him, lock him up, and take him away from here,” Jenkins said. “So we knew he was traveling, somehow or another, I don’t know how they missed him. But he got across 17, and
