PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WKBN) - The Youngstown State Men's Basketball team fell to the University of Pittsburgh 74-59 on Monday night in the regular season opener for both teams.
The Penguins placed a pair of players in double figures. They were led by Cris Carroll, who tallied 18. Jason Nelson added 15 in the setback.
Three Panthers scored in double-figures. Cameron Corhen led all scorers with 23 points. Brandin Cummings added 18, while Nojus Indrusaitis finished with 13.
YSU (0-1) will return to action on Friday on the road at Grand Canyon at 9 p.m.
Pitt (1-0) will host Longwood on Friday at 7 p.m.
