Talk about the Winterhawks on our off-day thread.

With 76 saves on 81 shots, a .938 save percentage, the Winterhawks Player of the Week for October 27 through November 2 is Ondrej Štěbeták.

On Friday, he outdueled an NHL 1st round draft pick, Joshua Ravensbergen. He was almost the sole reason the Winterhawks beat Kamloops on Saturday, as Portland was dominated the second half of the game. Oh, and he was also 10-for-11 in the shootout.

After a tough start to the season, he’s been over .900 in 4 of his last 5 games, and has slowly but surely gotten himself above average to .895.

Friday vs. Prince George: 33 saves on 35 shots in a 6-2 win over the Cougars.

Saturday vs. Kamloops: 43 saves on 46 shots in a 4-3 shootout win over the Blazers.
