No. 15 Alabama opened the basketball season in Coleman Coliseum Monday night, rolling over North Dakota 91-62, making it 23 straight wins in season openers.
Alabama took care of business while showcasing its returning pieces as well as the new additions from recruiting and the transfer portal.
Here are a few takeaways from the season opener.
Early Season Injuries
Three key players were unable to suit up for the season opener. Guards Aden Holloway and Latrell Wrightsell, Jr. and forward Keitenn Bristow were dealing with what head coach Nate Oats described as “minor injuries.” Oats graded all three of the injured players as day-to-day, but projected them to return on Saturday.
Size Advantage
Alabama used its overwhelming size to its advantage against an undersized opponent. The Crimson
