LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KTSM) — Just a few weeks ago, New Mexico State sat at 3-2 with seven games remaining.

Now, after dropping three straight games, the Aggies are 3-5. To become bowl-eligible, they need three more wins in their final four games—a tough path that starts with Saturday’s matchup against Kennesaw State.

Following this weekend, the Aggies face a brutal stretch: a trip to Knoxville to take on #14 Tennessee, and then two more conference games against UTEP and Middle Tennessee to close out the season.

In Las Cruces, the message to the team is simple: don’t worry about needing three wins—focus on winning the next four quarters. With their bowl hopes hanging in the balance, NMSU must take it one game at a time.
