WASHINGTON — "Wicked" star Jonathan Bailey has been officially crowned as People's Sexiest Man Alive for 2025.

The selection was announced Monday by People Magazine, which annually selects a group of celebrities as finalists for the award. The honor is partly based on good looks and philanthropic efforts.

Bailey is the first openly gay man to be selected for the honor.

The 37-year-old British heartthrob, who plays Fiyero in the "Wicked" films, appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Monday night for the announcement. He is also known for starring in the second season of the hit Netflix show "Bridgerton" and the Showtime series "Fellow Travelers," as well as a successful theater career.
