Residents evacuated from their homes in Eustis after a partial bridge collapse last week got an update from their homeowner association board Monday night.

A total of 21 homes had to be evacuated after the partial collapse. The Spring Ridge Estates HOA board said Monday there isn't a timeline for repairs or when people will be able to head back home.

One of the board members has evacuated himself. He said he's been trying to get as much information as he can.

"The main issue is there's no water going to the houses. If there's no water, then the fire department cannot allow us to stay there," board member Chris Machiela said.

Despite that, some residents said they plan to move back in anyway.
