NEW HAVEN, Conn. — A New Haven alderwoman, who currently represents Ward 3, claims to have proof that the candidate running against her in a Democratic race bribed the unhoused population to vote for him.
“I’m here to be a servant for the community but I will not cheat my way in it,” Hubbard said.
Alderwoman Angel Hubbard filed a complaint Monday afternoon with the city town clerk against her opponent Miguel Pittman.
She noted "serious allegations [that] the unhoused were offered a bribery," and that they were given "an address to use to go down to Southern Connecticut State University, that polling site, to use that address and as an exchange, they were given a plate of food for their vote."
