Amid growing dissent over the proposed Bijli Mahadev Ropeway Project in Kullu district, representatives of the Bijli Mahadev Sangarsh Samiti, led by former Mandi MP Maheshwar Singh, met Union Health Minister and BJP national president JP Nadda at his residence in New Delhi on Monday, and apprised him of the “widespread resentment” against the multi-crore project.
The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has also challenged the project in the Supreme Court.
The delegation included Samiti president Suresh Negi, kaardar (main caretaker) of Bijli Mahadev Vijender Jamwal, treasurer Fateh Singh Rana, member Vijay Rana, and others.
