COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - When Texas A&M head coach Bucky McMillan arrived in Aggieland, he promised the gathered masses that his team would be among the best in the country in offense.

Monday, in McMillan’s first game at the helm of the Aggies, his team started on the right foot by besting the highest offensive output of last season’s A&M team. Fittingly, the final two points, putting the Aggies over that edge, were from the one holdover from last season, Chris McDermott.

The Bucky Ball era of Aggie basketball began with a 98-68 route of Northwestern State, featuring McMillan’s signature high-pressure defense and plenty of 3-point shooting.
