In what maybe was a little too close for his liking, Auburn basketball coach Steven Pearl found a way to win his head coaching debut, 95-90 in overtime against Bethune-Cookman.
Keyshawn Hall led all scorers with 28 points in his first game inside Neville Arena. Newcomers Keyshawn Murphy and Sebastian Williams-Adams combined for 32 points and 14 rebounds leading the Tigers in the frontcourt.
Despite shooting 47% from the floor and 26% from 3-point territory, Auburn avoids the upset and improves to 1-0 on the season.
