Michael Eccleston was playing in first-grade premierships for Tenambit Morpeth before several of his current teammates were born.
But 20 years on from the first of those titles in 2005-06, the former NSW Country representative is leading the way again in transforming the one-time competition easy beats into winners.
Since returning to first grade in 2019-20, Tenambit Morpeth's highest finish was fifth in 2023-24 when South African Charl Van Den Heever and Englishman Billy Amass made a huge impact.
Van Den Heever is back in 2025-26 and already firing, and under Eccleston, an exciting bunch of teenagers and a rejuvenated bowling attack led by Ryan Wind have the Bulls sitting in third spot with two wins after three rounds.
