SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Eric Henderson left the SDSU this offseason to coach the Drake Bulldogs.

Like Coach Hendo has in past seasons, his team’s first game was in South Dakota.

Drake faced Northern Arizona at the Pentagon earlier this afternoon.

Eric Henderson said, “It’s always good to be back, honestly coming back it just brings up a lot of memories, obviously great memories. You remember all the relationships that you built and it kind of reminds me of how thankful I am to be able to do what I do and obviously to be able to do it at South Dakota State and now Drake, just two wonderful places.”

Drake won their first game with Henderson at the helm, 77-71 over Northern Arizona, their next game will be on Thursday in Iowa.
