Hundreds of thousands of university graduates are entitled to a refund on their student loan repayments – but many are yet to claim the money back.

Since the start of this tax year, the Student Loans Company (SLC) has refunded £85m to 358,500 customers, official figures show.

On average, that’s £230 per claimant – £10 less than last year and £50 less than in 2023/24. New Feature

People who borrowed student loans to go to university only have to repay the cash once they start earning a certain amount, and the repayments only start the April after they leave their course.
