New Delhi: Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited (BSWML) has launched a new initiative to reduce littering in the city. Citizens can now record videos of anyone littering in public and send them via WhatsApp to 9448197197.

Those who share videos will receive a ₹250 reward directly in their UPI accounts. Residents are encouraged to include the location and details of the person littering if possible. The identity of people sending videos will remain confidential.

Strict action against offenders

BSWML has cleaned more than 800 spots where people usually litter, still some people continue to throw garbage carelessly. To address this, BSWML, with government support, will take strict action against offenders, including sending fines to their homes.
