QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) --
Active weather pattern
Rain by Thursday night
Cold by Sunday
Despite an active weather pattern with several frontal passages this week, rain chances will be few and far between.
Highs today will climb into the 60s and 70s as south winds and quickly clearing clouds allow for a mild afternoon.
Tonight, the next front arrives while it won’t bring rain, it will shift our winds to the northwest, resulting in a cooler day Wednesday with highs near 60º.
Thursday night into Friday will bring some light rain to the area, but it should move out prior to Friday morning’s commute.
A clipper system will arrive this weekend, ushering in our first big cooldown of the season with highs only in the mid-40s by Sunday.
TODAY: Mainly sunny. High 67º Winds: S 5-15 mph.
