LOWELL — The Coldwater Cardinals looked to shock the world this past Friday, racing out to an early 14-0 lead over the top seeded Lowell Red Arrows in the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Division 3 Football District semifinal.

After Coldwater sent Lowell reeling with the two early scores the Red Arrows unleashed their offense, scoring 49 unanswered points to roll to the 49-14 victory.

Coldwater came into the district a bit shorthanded as record-breaking starting quarterback Dracyn Foster had suffered an injury to his non-throwing shoulder in the regular season finale versus Marshall, meaning he would not be taking snaps for the Cardinals during the postseason.
