New Delhi: ISRO’s ambitious Gaganyaan programme to lift humans into Earth orbit and return them safely to the Earth using domestic hardware anchors the long-term roadmap for the space agency. There are eight missions planned for the Gaganyaan programme, including three uncrewed developmental flights for the brand new hardware, two crewed flights, two dockings and the deployment of the first module of the Bharatiya Antariksh Station (BAS) by 2028. There is a six-month gap between the planned flights of the Gaganyaan programme, which cannot afford any more delays .
