MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Davidson County Chancellor Patricia Head Moskal is now deciding whether or not to pause the National Guard’s deployment in Memphis.
During a hearing in Nashville on Monday, Moskal said she needed to review the case against the Tennessee governor and write findings of fact to come to a conclusion.
The lawsuit was filed on October 17 by Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris, Memphis City Councilman JB Smiley Jr., Shelby County Commissioners Henri Brooks and Erika Sugarmon, Memphis state Representatives G.A. Hardaway and Gabby Salinas, and Nashville state Senator Jeff Yarbro.
