NILES, Mich. -- On Tuesday, Nov. 4, Niles Charter Township will have the opportunity to vote on two proposals that surround the opening of marijuana businesses in the township.
The first proposal is for amendment 25-01 that will either amend or deny the township zoning ordinance to use specific regulations for adult use of marijuana establishments.
The second question asks if all marijuana establishments should be prohibited in the township.
This is the third time since 2022 that this proposal has been brought to the public's attention, in 2022 it was defeated but when a similar proposal came back a year later, it was approved.
