GRAND FORKS – New $18 million safety and security updates will help with threat prevention, said Grand Forks public school district leaders as the recent upgrades finish up.
Grand Forks Public Schools began working on safety and security updates across the district in 2023, primarily concentrating on securing school entrances and increasing the number of security cameras on-site.
DaLee Wilkinson, the district’s safety and security manager, said these updates were a priority for the district to ensure students and staff felt safe in the midst of national discussions concerning safety in schools.
