NC State opens its women's basketball season with a bang.

The No. 9 Wolfpack will face No. 8 Tennessee at First Horizon Coliseum on Greensboro on Tuesday, Nov. 4 (4 p.m., ESPN2), starting the 2025-26 season with a top-10 matchup against one of the biggest brands in the game.

The last time these teams met was in the 2024 NCAA Tournament, when NC State defeated Tennessee in the Round of 32. That was coach Kellie Harper's last game with the Lady Vols, who have reloaded with the top transfer class in the NCAA under second-year coach Kim Caldwell.
