Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh): A tragic train accident occurred near Bilaspur station in Chhattisgarh today afternoon when a MEMU train collided with a goods train, leaving several people injured and unconfirmed reports suggesting multiple fatalities.

According to ANI, the mishap took place around 4 p.m. when the Gevara Road–Bilaspur MEMU Local (Train No. 6873) collided with a goods train on the Up line between Gatora and Bilaspur.

Officials from the South East Central Railway (SECR) stated rescue operations are underway and all necessary measures have been taken to provide treatment to the injured.
