Northshore Food Bank volunteer Kristy Bourgeois is a whiz when it comes to making things beautiful on a dime — or no dime if she can pull it off.

After all, every dollar saved is one that can be put to better use feeding the community, she said.

Not everyone can see a space like the Northshore Food Bank’s warehouse and envision an upscale James-Bond-inspired casino, but Bourgeois has the eye.

She’s the creative force behind the organization’s Pallets with Purpose gala, said CEO Yvette Roussel, and “her magic always sets the tone for an unforgettable evening.”

And that magic includes transforming the warehouse with balloon designs, drapery, walls draped with greenery, casino games and decorated tables.
