HAWLEY, Minn. — Inside the Hawley gymnasium Monday afternoon, the Nuggets volleyball team moved with intensity. The biggest weekend of the season in the forefront.
The Nuggets earned the program’s third state tournament appearance following a 3-0 win over Wadena-Deer Creek on Saturday. Hawley (29-2) earned the No. 1 seed in Minnesota Class 2A.
Defending-champion Hawley battles No. 8 New London-Spicer in the state tournament quarterfinals at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul.
