BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio

Open container, Royalton Road: On Oct. 10, police were dispatched to Dunkin’ regarding a report of an older man drinking vodka while waiting in the Royalton Road drive-thru lane.

The caller said the driver was “chugging” vodka while talking for his order.

An arriving officer observed the white Mazda sedan make a wide turn onto Broadview Road before being pulled over.

Prior to approaching the sedan, the officer watched the driver moving around inside of the Mazda.

Asked about the activity, the driver said he was retrieving his registration.

The problem was the now nervous man followed up by saying he didn’t have a license, which had been suspended from a previous OVI conviction.
