India has achieved remarkable success in the QS Asia University Rankings 2026, with seven universities now among the top 100 in the region. Five IITs – Delhi, Madras, Bombay, Kanpur, and Kharagpur – have earned places within this prestigious group.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IITD) Delhi stands out as India’s highest-ranked institution in Asia, securing the 59th spot with an overall score of 78.6. According to the rankings, the institute has excelled particularly in research and discovery as well as learning experience and employability, which are among the key parameters in the QS Asia University rankings 2025.
