Karkala, Nov 4: An awareness programme on HIV/AIDS through Yakshagana was organised on November 4, at Manjunatha Pai Memorial Government First Grade College, Karkala.

The event was held by Fine Arts Association, National Service Scheme (NSS) Units and Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of the college in collaboration with the Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society, district administration and zilla panchayat Udupi.

The Shambhu Lingeshwara Yaksha Natya Mela, Siddapura, Uttara Kannada district, performed a Yakshagana to create awareness among students about HIV/AIDS. The Yakshagana performed and raised awareness were: Prashanth Hegde, Manjunatha Babu Hegde, Mahabaleshwara M, Venkataramana, and Ramachandra.
