Kelly Clarkson is heading back to the stage after taking a several-month hiatus when Brandon Blackstock , her ex-husband and the father of her children, died.

She announced new shows and her return on Instagram this week.

Timeline:

On Aug. 6, she announced she was postponing her August dates for her Studio Sessions residency.

"While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them," she said in the announcement.

One day later, on Aug. 7, the family announced Blackstock had died .

On Nov. 3, she announced she was resuming her residency and adding new shows.

"Come see me," she wrote on Instagram.
