Elena Rybakina claimed her second straight win at the WTA Finals, rallying from a set down to beat Iga Swiatek.
Rybakina dropped the opening set but dominated from there, losing just one more game to secure a 3-6, 6-1, 6-0 victory.
The Kazakhstani already had a win over Amanda Anisimova in her opening match and now leads the Serena Williams group with just Madison Keys left to play.
She’s been in excellent form late in the season too, winning eight matches on the bounce. That run includes back-to-back titles at the China Open and Zhengzhou Open last month.
According to Laura Robson, her strong finish hasn’t gone unnoticed around the tour. The former British number one pointed out that plenty of coaches have taken note of how much she’s improved recently.
