The beaver moon will appear larger than usual tonight, Nov. 4, because it's a supermoon. Next month, the cold moon will reach its peak the evening of Dec. 4, the last of three consecutive full supermoons in 2025, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac.

Clear skies permitting, the supermoons should appear slightly brighter and bigger than typical full moons, creating what's known as the moon illusion.
