Boots and TK Maxx have issued a warning for shoppers who bought popular television and film-themed enamel mugs. Boots says it has "been informed of a potential safety issue with the mug in this set."

Boots said: "It is possible that heavy metals may migrate from the enamel coating into hot drinks, posing a health risk if ingested repeatedly over a long period of time. Therefore, this product is being recalled.

"The safety and well-being of our customers is very important to us so we’re asking that you stop using the mug and return it to your nearest Boots store at your earliest convenience for a full refund.
