One of the world’s most politically powerful men during the early 2000s has died.

Former U-S Vice-President Dick Cheney, who served with President George Bush Jr., died of complications from pneumonia.

He led the armed forces as defense chief during the Persian Gulf War.

Former Vice-President Cheney was 84.
