A Ridgeland woman has been arrested in connection with a weekend shoplifting that targeted a Gluckstadt boutique, authorities said.
Gluckstadt Police Chief Barry W. Hale said officers were notified around lunchtime Saturday, Nov. 1, of a theft at Relish Home Accents. Store representatives reported more than $500 in merchandise was taken.
Investigators canvassed nearby businesses for surveillance video and, by Sunday night, identified a suspect as Kenya Denae Johnson. A warrant was issued, and on Monday afternoon Johnson was located in Ridgeland and taken into custody without incident, according to police.
Chief Hale thanked the Ridgeland Police Department and Constable Justin Lancaster for assisting with the arrest, noting the case was resolved in roughly 48 hours. He added that crimes
