OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) -- A fire engulfed an abandoned single-wide home early Tuesday morning, according to the Seneca Fire Department.
Firefighters were dispatched to Village Creek Drive to respond to the incident, which involved the home that officials say has been without power and considered abandoned for some time.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the structure heavily involved in fire, prompting a rapid response to control the flames and conduct a search for any possible occupants. First responders quickly pulled lines to initiate a search and begin extinguishing the fire.
Fire personnel secured a hydrant across the street to aid in the firefighting efforts, extinguishing the blaze in about 30 minutes.
