MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — Mecklenburg County residents will cast their vote Tuesday on the county’s one-cent sales tax that would fund transit and road projects.
The potential tax increase has left both city leaders and community members with split feelings about impacts on the Charlotte area — and their pockets — in the long run.
It has also sparked questions for some following the stabbing death of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska back in August on the Blue Line.
