NEWARK – For a record fifth consecutive season, Smyrna and Cape Henlopen will play for the DIAA Division I field hockey championship.

The Eagles and Vikings each won semifinals on Nov. 3 at the University of Delaware's Rullo Stadium with relative ease.

No. 1 Smyrna (17-1) rode an early lead to an 8-0 win over No. 5 Caesar Rodney (10-6). No. 2 Cape Henlopen (16-1) did not allow a shot on goal in a 3-0 win over No. 3 Padua (12-4-1).
