NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man was hurt Monday night in a shooting in Nashville, according to Metro Nashville Police.

A department spokesperson said a 41-year-old man was shot in the leg at an apartment along University Court. He is expected to survive.

“He told officers that he was walking in public housing when he heard shots and realized that he had been hit,” a message sent Tuesday from MNPD said. “When detectives told him that they knew he was lying, he admitted that the shooting occurred inside 94 University Court, a public housing apartment.”
