Fireball over Lake Superior shared across social media. See the video

A fireball lit up the sky over eastern Lake Superior late Monday evening, Nov. 3, according to the Michigan Storm Chasers , a group that tracks statewide weather and offers daily forecasts.

The meteor, which blazed through the sky at about 10 p.m., was caught on video and shared via social media.

The meteor could be from one of three ongoing meteor showers.

October kicked off a month of meteor showers, as the Draconids, Orionids, Southern Taurids and Northern Taurids all began. Only the Draconids have ended for the year while the Southern Taurids are peaking now.
