Man presented himself as a victim to the court with a story that two girls concocted a plot to have him arrested, drugged him and raped him at a park.

A Brantford man who was sent to prison in 2023 for 10 years has failed in an attempt to get a higher court to change his conviction.

Sentenced by Justice John Harper in Brantford’s Superior Court in January 2023, the man, who can’t be named, was found guilty of seven sexual offences against two children, including sexual assault, sexual exploitation, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.

In court, the man, who is now 38, denied sexually assaulting his stepdaughter for two years and insisted he didn’t rape the girl’s 15-year-old friend, who accompanied them to a local park to drink alcohol.
