MADISON (WKOW) — Leadership of the Dane County Board of Supervisors are unveiling a compromise proposal to the 2026 County Budget on Tuesday ahead of formal deliberations by the full board.

A press conference is being held at 11 a.m. at the City-County Building.

The compromise, known as Sub 1, is meant to balance fiscal responsibility with community priorities. Housing, food security and behavioral health are highlighted as critical needs during a challenging fiscal year due to limited resources and increasing community demand.
