LOS ANGELES — Making the show is a dream for many high school baseball players, but earning a place on a Major League Baseball (MLB) roster is at best, a long shot.
Imagine then, the odds of two fellas playing on the same high school team - both going pro - and following a winding road that would lead them to bask in a World Series championship.
Alex Call and JP Feyereisen beat those odds, taking home that MLB title as members of the 2025 Los Angeles Dodgers. The two played together at River Falls High School in western Wisconsin back in 2010 and 2011, and then worked their way through the college ranks into the pros.
