Opposition Leader John Hogan warns that the MOU reached between this province and Hydro Quebec is on “thin ice.”

Quebec Premier François Legault’s Coalition Avenir is not expected to win election when Quebecers go to the polls in 2026.

Premier Tony Wakeham says the deal reached must undergo what he calls an independent review before being finalized, but time is not in their favour as a change in government in Quebec may not bode well for any future deal.
